Refund & Returns Policy – Second Time Around
At Second Time Around, we specialise in secondhand and pre-loved clothing. We do our best to accurately describe and photograph every item, and we carefully check garments to ensure they are in re-sellable condition. However, please remember that as these items are secondhand, minor signs of wear are to be expected.
Your Rights Under New Zealand Law
We comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA) and the Fair Trading Act 1986.
· If a product you purchase is faulty, not as described, or unfit for purpose, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
· The CGA does not cover change of mind, wrong size, or damage caused by misuse or normal wear and tear.
Secondhand Goods
Under the CGA, secondhand goods must still be of acceptable quality given their age and description. Our product listings include any noticeable faults or marks to help you make an informed purchase.
Change of Mind / Incorrect Size
We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind or if an item doesn’t fit. Please check the measurements provided before purchasing.
If You Believe Your Item Is Faulty
If you think your item has a fault that wasn’t described:
1. Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order at customercare@second-time-around.com with your order number and photos of the issue.
2. We will assess your claim and advise next steps.
3. If approved, we will arrange a return and either repair, replace, or refund your item in line with NZ consumer law.
Return Conditions
· Items must be returned in the same condition as received.
· Returns must be sent with tracking at the buyer’s expense unless we determine the item is faulty.
· Refunds are processed to the original payment method once we receive and inspect the item.
